Tevar is a 2015 Indian Hindi-language action film directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and produced by Sanjay Kapoor. The film is an official remake of the 2003 Telugu film Okkadu, starring Mahesh Babu and Bhumika Chawla. Tevar stars Arjun Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha and Manoj Bajpayee in the lead roles, while Shruti Haasan makes a special appearance in a song.

Plot
The film revolves around Ghanshyam "Pintoo" Shukla (Arjun Kapoor), a kabaddi player from Agra, who rescues Radhika Mishra (Sonakshi Sinha), a young woman from Mathura, from an unwanted marriage with Vijender Singh (Manoj Bajpayee), a dangerous faction leader. Pintoo hides Radhika in his home and tries to protect her from Vijender and his goons, while also dealing with his own family problems and his love for kabaddi.

Music
The music of Tevar was composed by Sajid-Wajid, while the lyrics were written by Shantanu Shrivastav, Kausar Munir, Danish Sabri and Sajid Khan. The soundtrack album consists of eight songs, featuring singers like Mika Singh, Wajid, Shafqat Amanat Ali, Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan and Imran Khan. The song "Superman" became a popular anthem for Arjun Kapoor's fans.
Reception
Tevar received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the performances of Arjun Kapoor and Manoj Bajpayee, but criticized the screenplay, direction and length of the film. The film was also compared unfavorably to the original Telugu version. Tevar was a box office flop, earning only 56 crore against a budget of 75 crore.
